Terms of Service

Last Updated: 25 Oct 2026

Welcome to myutils.me (“we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms of Service govern your use of our website, software, applications, and all related services (together, the “Platform”). In these Terms, “you” and “your” refer to the individual or entity using the Platform. By accessing or using our Platform in any way, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our Services.

1. Authorized Data Access and Automation

1.1 Your permission to sign in. By saving a Permanent Account Number (PAN) and its Income Tax portal password on the Platform, you authorise myutils.me to sign in to the Income Tax portal with them on your behalf, for the sole purpose of retrieving that PAN’s data and the documents you ask to download. We do not file returns or respond to notices for you.

1.2 When syncs run. We retrieve the data when you add a PAN and when you sync it. There is no schedule and no alerts; the dashboard shows what the portal returned at the last sync. Portal accounts that use two-factor login are not supported. How passwords are stored and who can see synced data is set out in our Privacy Policy.

2. Your Responsibilities and Account Security

2.1 You represent and warrant that you have the legal right and authority to provide the credentials and PANs you enter into our system. You affirm that the information belongs to you, or that you have obtained explicit, written authorization from the respective individual or business entity to act on their behalf and manage their tax profiles.

2.2 You are responsible for maintaining the security of your myutils.me account password. You agree not to use the Platform for any unlawful, unauthorized, or fraudulent purposes. Any violation of these responsibilities may result in immediate termination of your account access without prior notice.

3. Data Accuracy and Platform Availability

3.1 Data Source Reliability. The financial and tax data presented on your dashboard is fetched directly from the official government tax portal. We act purely as a software intermediary to organize and display this data in a user-friendly format.

3.2 No Guarantee of Accuracy. We make no warranties or guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the fetched data. Any discrepancies or errors within the data are solely the responsibility of the official portal. myutils.me shall not be held liable for any financial decisions, tax filings, penalties, or damages incurred based on the data displayed on our interface. If you notice any errors or mismatches in the data shown, kindly re-sync your profile from the dashboard or verify the data directly on the official income tax portal, which remains the authoritative source of truth.

3.3 Service Uptime. Our automated syncing relies entirely on the availability and responsiveness of the official tax portal. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service and accept no liability for portal downtimes, maintenance periods, or third-party infrastructure failures that may temporarily delay your data synchronization.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall myutils.me, its directors, employees, partners, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. This includes, without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to, use of, or inability to access or use the Platform.

5. Account Termination and Profile Deletion

You may delete individual PAN profiles at any time from your dashboard. Deleting a profile removes it from your account and stops any further syncs for it. To close your account and have its data erased, email support@myutils.me from the email address on the account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms.

6. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms of Service at any time. By continuing to access or use our Platform after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.

8. Independent Service and No Government Affiliation

myutils.me is an independent analytical utility and is not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by the Income Tax Department, the Ministry of Finance, UIDAI, or the Government of India. Official tax services are hosted at incometax.gov.in. The Platform is not a government website, and no content on it should be read as government communication, approval or endorsement. The same applies to the e-Aadhaar tool (we are not affiliated with UIDAI) and the electoral roll search (we are not affiliated with the Election Commission of India).

All data displayed is retrieved from the official income tax portal based on the credentials and details you provide. myutils.me acts solely as a software intermediary to organize and present that data and does not originate or independently verify it.

9. Advertising and Analytics

The Platform is free and is paid for by advertising. It shows labelled ads, including affiliate banners (which may earn us a commission on purchases), ads from advertising networks and, where enabled, Google AdSense. Ads are provided by third parties; we do not endorse the products advertised, and any purchase is between you and the seller. The Platform also uses analytics and error-monitoring services to measure use and fix errors. What these services collect, and how to opt out of personalised ads, is described in our Privacy Policy.

10. PDF Signature Verification Tools

The e-Aadhaar Signature Verifier and PDF Signature Verifier check a document’s digital signature on your device and show the result for your information. Your original file is not modified.

The verified copy you download or print is meant for printing only. Its digital signature is removed so that it displays the verified status consistently, which means it is not a digitally signed document and cannot be verified electronically. Where a digital copy is required, share the original PDF issued to you instead.

Acceptance of a printed copy is at the sole discretion of the authority or organization receiving it. myutils.me does not guarantee that any printout will be accepted.

11. Income and Employment Verification

11.1 Employer accounts. Any user may set up an employer account for a company they are authorized to represent. The person who sets it up becomes its Admin and may invite colleagues as Admins, Members or Viewers. Admins are responsible for who has access to their workspace and for removing people who should no longer have it.

11.2 Permitted use by employers. Employers may request a candidate’s income and personal information only for a genuine hiring, onboarding or employment purpose, only from the person the request is addressed to, and only to the extent needed for that purpose. Employers must tell candidates why the information is requested, must not pressure a candidate to share optional categories, must keep shared data confidential, and must not sell, publish or use it for any unrelated purpose. Employers are solely responsible for their hiring decisions and for complying with applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and employment laws.

11.3 Verification links. Each request is sent to the candidate’s email address as a secure link that stays valid for the number of days the employer chooses, between 1 and 30 (7 by default). Only the account registered with that email address can respond. Employers may resend the email (which does not extend the expiry date), renew an expired link, or revoke a request before it is completed. Each of these actions is recorded in the request’s history.

11.4 Candidates. If you respond to a request, you confirm that the PAN profile you share from is your own. Sharing is your choice: you decide whether to respond and which optional categories to include, and nothing is shared until you confirm. Once you share, the employer keeps a read-only copy of the selected data as it was at that time, with any Aadhaar number masked to its last 4 digits; see Section 12 of our Privacy Policy.

11.5 Nature of the data. Shared figures are taken from the candidate’s records on the official Income Tax portal as returned at the time of syncing. As set out in Section 3, we do not originate or independently verify that data, and the official portal remains the authoritative source. Figures for the current financial year cover only what the portal held at the time, and the year’s return cannot be filed until it ends. A verification shows what the portal returned; it is not a certificate, credit report, or background check by myutils.me.

11.6 Suspension. We may suspend or close an employer account, revoke pending requests, or restrict access to shared data if we reasonably believe the service is being misused, including requests sent without a legitimate purpose or to people who have not agreed to be contacted.
